Project Summary

Nowadays schools do their best to provide an open educational place where quality educational activities and students’ wellbeing are top priorities.

However, although society places high demands on schools and the current legislation has been improved to secure student’s wellbeing, the phenomena of violence, bullying, hate speech and discrimination on various grounds are still common in some schools.

Because of this growing tendency, schools are required to devise their own plan for prevention in order to find solutions to problems such as acts of intimidation. Focus on a fair and undiscriminating treatment plan is required. Thus, schools are trying to devise preventative measures they can implement and students’ opinions on the matter are taken into account.

Five European schools have partnered up to share educational practices, experiences and analyse the ways of actions in our prevention plans, the collaboration with authorities in the process and further actions to assist schools dealing with such issues. Partner schools in the project are interested in investing time, knowledge and human resources to tackle and reduce violence, bullying, hate speech in their schools’ environment. The project will provide a series of opportunities to share educational practices, teaching experiences, cultural exchange and develop lifelong skills.

IISS Rosa “Luxemburg” is a public secondary school of 5 years for students by 14 to 19 years old
with three different fields of study: 1.Artistic Gymnasium 2.Two Vocational schools: 1. Graphics and advertising; 2. Social health services 3.Agrarian technical school. It is a non profit organization with 620 students and 90 teachers . Among the students, there are about 35 handicap students and they are helped by support teachers. The school works in an area in which the living, social, cultural, economic and environmental conditions are influenced by unemployment, immigration, insufficient sensibility towards the culture, economic difficulties caused by an economic crisis. In this context many young people show insufficient interest towards learning, they are not motivated in learning, with a significant of school dropout. To contrast the school failure and to help the students with disadvantaged situations, we carry out curricular and extracurricular activities that offer the students better learning opportunities and professional training. The partnership can improve students’ motivation, encourage them to study and learn, promote the acquisition of transversal and professional skills in order to guide their future educational and professional choices and help
achieve personal development. The partnership with European schools is important to give students and staff a European dimension to the educational process, to exchange experiences, solutions, didactic methods and best practices. The partnership will help students to increase skills in English and to understand cultural diversity. It will contribute to overcome stereotypes and to fight discrimination. The people in charge of running the project are: ANNA EMILIA IUSO: teacher and headmaster collaborator, she has experience in carrying out European project, she has been involved in European project since 2000. She teaches business economics. She coordinates the internal evaluation group of educational processes and practices. MIMMA ERRIQUEZ : is an Italian and history teacher. She has a long experience in carrying out European project, she has been
involved in European project since 1997. She is an expert in school orientation, VINCENZA
GIANNINI is law teacher and specialized in supporting disabled students. She is involved in the
integration and inclusion of disabled students in the school; she organizes traineeships for disabled students DONATELLA SCARATI is teacher of graphics, audiovisual and multimedia subject. She organizes traineeships for students in local companies CATERINA CAPODIFERRO is teacher of professional subjects, organizes social and cultural animation activities. MAGDA MARTIELLI is English teacher, responsible of foreign languages department. The school can contribute to the project because has experience in COMENIUS, GRUNDTVIG, LEONARDO, ERASMUS+ projects and organized training courses about the of actions to prevent and combat bullying and cyberbullying

Our school, established in 1883, is not only the first commercial vocational high school of İstanbul, major city which spans two continents, but also Turkey. In this context, our school has French and Ottoman period correspondence, diploma archive. With its this characteristic, it is located on the historical peninsula of the city called Sultanahmet which is known as “the heart of İstanbul”.Sultanahmet is the center of historic and tourist attractions having a great cultural heritage closely related to the history of Europe too. Our region holds a significant place in this respect with“Hagia Sophia”(UNESCO World Heritage Site),the 1500 years old holy monument for Orthodox Christianity and Muslims.In our school, there are totally 602 hundred students at the grades of 9-10- 11-12. There are 1 principal, 4 vice principles, 21 culture and 8 vocational teachers, 2 psychological counselling and guidance teachers, totally 36 staff. Our school was taken place as “Flipped Classrooms” pilot school in the research of usage of alternative teaching ways in lessons (in 2014) in

High School of Economics and Finance Vasil Levski

High School of Finance and Economics is a vocational high school. It is one of the oldest schools in the town of Dobrich with its 70-year-old history. It is the only school in the region which prepares economists, accountants, customs officers, insurers and managers for all spheres of business. It has around 35 teachers and 500 students in 20 classes in 6 different courses of study. We also have students from the minorities- of Roman and Turkish origin. The age of our students is 15 to 19 years old. They have intensive preparation in either English or German language. Speaking foreign languages is their big advantage when they enter the labour market. We encourage our disciples to show their knowledge and skills in various national contests and olympiads. In the National Accounting Competition in 2016 our team of 12-graders won the second place. A very big part of the students is engaged in extra-curricular activities organized in different clubs- Folklore, Sports, History, Photos and filmmaking, IT and so on. Our high school has won the right to participate in the
Euroscola program twice, after dynamic debates in regional competitions. Our institution won the right to be School- Ambassador of the European Parliament – 2018 years. We have achievements in the fields of sports, too. The previous year the school football team won the vice-champion cup in the National Students’ Games. Our school volleyball team and football school teams are the best in town. The school has been working constantly on various national and international projects. Since 1999 we have taken part in different Leonardo, Comenius, ETwinning and Erasmus+ projects. Teachers at school have always been trying to qualify and improve their work in order to give their best in the name of the well-being of students. They have tried to be creative and develop the creativity process
in students, too. With this project our colleagues can share ideas how they can incorporate
technology in their lessons and get information about European education system. The school has completed several Comenius and Erasmus+ projects since 1999. The latest ones are in Erasmus KA1 and Erasmus KA2 program. The school is currently working on a KA219 project and KA101 project. With their help and support from 5 more teachers the project activities will be completed by the project team with diligence and will. With the skill and expertise of the school staff we will work successfully. The project coordinator has been teaching Information Technologies for 16 years. She is coordinator on a KA 101 project. The second coordinator has studied International Economic Relations and English Language. She is currently working on a KA 219 project. The next person in charge of the project is the vice -headmistress. She will be monitoring the implementation of all the activities in the Bulgarian school. She has been teaching Economics and Accountancy for 20 years.




Scoala Gimnaziala Certeju de Sus

Secondary School of Certeju de Sus is in a village in which there is a strong tradition in the gold mining. Our village is in Hunedoara county, in Transylvania. Transylvania is a region of Romania. Here you can see a lot of beautiful landscapes and people are very kind. The traditions here are still alive. It is a land full of charm. The human resource is well prepaired in different economical fields. The young population is intrested in tourism. The students, the parents, the teachers and the local parteners are intrested in projects to support the success of the children and community. The school wishes to create a strategy to respond to the specific needs for teaching in our community. In our school there are also activities to help the need to develop inovative capacities strategies. Students that have economical problems are helped to continue their studies and to emprove their abilities. In our school there are 19 teachers and 211 students. The main subjects are Romanian language, Maths, History, Geography, English, French, Physics, Physical Education, Arts, Music, Chemestry,
Biology, Religios Education, IT and other optional school subjects. The school has an IT lab, a documentary center an a gymnasium. Through this project our school will be able to help its students to learn more about other cultures and to be able to express themselves in a foreign language. It is important both for teachers and students to improve the ability to learn more about teaching and to have a positive attitude for the future. In charge of the project will be the teacher Dalie Lavinia and in case this person leaves their post in the future her role will be taken by the teacher Tulea Elena Mihaela. The key persons who will be in charge of implementation of the project in our school are Onet Alexandra Ioana, Cozma Ionela Maria, Mirza Carmen Lacramioara and Szekely Rita Cristina. There isn’t any specific experience or expertise regarding this project in this school, but there is hope
and the wish to bring something new and better to our school so that our students can have good results in their careeres. Projects E-twinning were developped in our school. Both teachers and students are eager to learn and be better teachers and students.



IES Clot del Moro

IES Clot del Moro is a secondary school in Sagunto which caters to the educational needs of the majority of students in the town. Sagunto’s economy is based on agriculture, industry and tourism , so it has become in a intercultural town. Meny of our students practice sports and some of them are elit sportist. The most practised sport is football, as players or as spectators. It was built in 1978 and in 2000 was adapted to the new secondary studies, so all the classrooms have new technological items. IES Clot del Moro School includes studies of: – Secondary – A-levels: Sciences, Humanistic, Scenic Arts, Visual Arts, – Basic Professional Education – There is also an attention to the diversity in different Programs The school is situated in the outskirts of town, a small depressed neighbourhood with high levels of social disadvantage. Nowadays there are 750 students, 624 in a day turn (age
from 12-18), and 126 in evening classes (for adults) IES Clot del Moro is proud of the bilingual education it offers to students, who are taught through Catalan, Spanish or both. This education reflect the bilingual nature of Valencian society. Additionally, in recent years the school has begun to teach some areas in English, particularly Humanities , Maths, Art, Drama and IT. (CLIL Program) Our high school is working on a equality and coexistende project many years ago, some of the activities on this project are based on sports equality and not discrimitanion. One of our most important activity is “Cross al clot”, a sodidary run with the topic and reflexion on gender violence. It’s an interdisciplinary projecs where diferrent subjects are involved; language, music, theater, sports, arts.
This year, we are starting with a new project based on the non discrimitanion use of the playground and sports facilities. We work on the reflexion on the social behavior on football spectators. We would like to continue on this kind of work because the violence and discriminations on sports is being a real problem on the age of our students and on the traditional way of living in our country, where football is the most important sport. We spect to improve our learning on coeducation and respect, not only in sports but in any moment on the coexistence. We hope this is going to contribute to the
nice clima and respect in theis lifes and way of linving in an early future. – KEY PEOPLE IN

Expected Results


Intangible expected results will be: improved team work skills amongst participants, improved knowledge on various methods to tacklendiscrimination, violence, hate speech and bullying in their own schools, better English language communication and interpersonal skills for participants, enhanced intercultural awareness, organisational skills.

The concrete expected results will consist of: an initial survey to be applied in schools, comparative study of the current situation in partner schools in relation to the three project topics, LTTA minutes and report, documents and presentations used in workshops, evaluation documents, certificates of attendance.
